       From Fan to Performer: Arie as Ari

Who would have thought that one day a fan of one of the biggest stars in the music industry would get the chance to perform as her idol, Ariana Grande?

 

Since the day I saw Ariana Grande on the internet, Ariana has been my inspiration, and I support her through music. Ever since, I have admired Ariana's unique singing style and how kind she was to her fans. And back then, I started to transform myself into my idol, Ariana Grande, and now everyone calls me "Arie."

 

I always do what Ariana sets for herself, such as her unique type of hairstyling, her signature winged eyeliner, and a contour that makes her face more fierce and sharp. As time passed, people began seeing Arie (me) as Ariana, leading to a surprising opportunity to start my dream.

 

THE BEGINNING.

 

One day, I was asked if I was okay performing an intermission number as Ariana Grande, and that day, I successfully captured the hearts of people and met their expectations. People love how the performance goes, and since then they have loved to see me again.

 

However, things go in a different direction, and I sadly need to cut my hair due to the school's policy. That’s why I chose to step back and keep Ariana Grande in my heart. Despite my silent disappointment, I continue to idolize Ariana Grande. Even with my new persona and looks, people still recognize me as Arie, maintaining the identity that people started to know. That’s why people still call me Arie.

 

THE COMEBACK.

 

After a year, people still love to see me on stage. That’s why I have been given the opportunity to perform again. I hesitated, given the fact that I was uncomfortable wearing a girl outfit and full-blast make-up after a year. However, my love for the stage gave me the guts to still grab the chance since I know that I love to perform on stage. With the cheers and yells of people, my heart felt overwhelmed, making our efforts worthwhile.

 

Performing the two top songs by Ariana Grande, I slayed on stage, giving the SAS the sassy and classy performance that they deserved. With my master lip sync performance, people are wondering whether it is my real voice or an impersonation.

 

I gave my best on my second performance, even though it was hard for me since it was new for me after a year and I was already building a new persona. After the successful performance, I then again heard the shout of the audience, “Isa pa, isa pa!! ”.

 

After a long manifestation to perform on stage with Ariana's song, I finally got my dream. With my big dream that I never knew would come true, I get it. In this chapter of my life, I realize that dreaming something is not as fast as how we write but rather a process of how you think.
